Will in the Looking Glass

A quieter day, including a visit to Healdsburg, which I will cover separately, calming down after a wildly stimulating week. One place I am drawn back to repeatedly is the beehive, watching with joy the bees flying in and out. The fruit in the Garden are extraordinary, including persimmons, once seen as symbols of the transition from youth to age, from bitterness to sweetness.

Lovely, too, to see a jackrabbit while we were walking over the hill in the nearby vineyard. And to see the hummingbird return a number of times to the porch, the mockingbird singing in the background - and a blue jay flitting between the trees.

Somewhere, too, the little frogs are hopping through the garden. What ideas, in parallel universes, might course through their brains? (Or perhaps I have been imbibing too much science fiction this week, at the Autodesk IDEAS session and elsewhere?)
